 Investigating reaction times

Reaction times can be used by dropping a ruler and seeing how long it takes for your partner to catch it. 

1) Make sure that the person being tested has their arm resting on something so that they can't move it up or down during the test

2) Hold the ruler between your thumb and forefinger at the zero end, make sure that it is level with their thumb and forefinger. Drop it without giving any warning
