Amylose:

Starch is a mixture of amylose and amylopectin. They are found in chloroplasts and storage organs such as potatoes.Starch is the major glucose energy store in plants. It can rapidly be converted back to glucose for respiration.

It has two components:

  • Amylose
  • Amylopectin
