Biological explanations of crime:
1. Evolutionary perspectives- eg. Evolution of **** as a way for men to leave the greatest number of offspring (Thornhill and Palmer, 2000).
2. Genes- behavioural genetics: sharing genes = shared criminal behaviour? Genetic factors- (Osborn & West 1979) 2/5 of boys whose fathers had C.R. had C.R. themselves. 60% of the boys with fathers with C.R. did not have C.R.
