liver+ muscle = large number of mitochondria - because of large amounts of respiration taking place.
ribosomes = too small to be seen with a light microscope - found in the cytoplasm - site of protien synthesis
Structure of DNA = two strands coiled togeather to form a double helix.
- each strand contains Bases - 4 different types
- cross links are formed by the pairs of bases
chromosome- long coiled molecule of DNA - divided into up into reigions called genes
Gene - contains different sequences of bases
Bases- different combinations = codes for diferent protiens
