We know about God through 'revelation' (God revealing himself to people).

Transcendent (beyond human understanding) and at the same time, immanent (close to each person and acting in the world)

words to describe God: perfect, creator, and father.

Yet God is seen as impersonal, a power or force that humans cannot grasp.
