Mitosis is used in asexual reproduction as it forms cells with the full number of chromosomes. It produces clones and it is used in thr growth and repair of cells.

Steps:

• You start with a diploid cell (a cell with double the usual amount of chromosomes)
• Nuclear membrane dissolves, and chromosomes are copied. 
• Chromosomes line up in the center.
