Metallic bonding
Metallic bonding is the electrostatic attraction between delocalised electrons and postive metal ions.
- There is no transfer of electrons as there is no non-metal present.
- Form a lattice of postive ions
- The electrons are delocialised(free to move)
- The number of delocalised electrons depends on the metal atom.
- Metals have a giant structure.
