How would you measure something likelihood or chance of something happen?

This is the probability scale. 

Some things never happen. They are impossible.

Some things always happen. They are certain.

In the middle of the probabiltity scale there is even chance, this means that somethings are just likely to happen as to not happen. Its an even chance, 'Fifty - Fifty'.

Between impossible and even chance there is unlikely, which is where some things probably wont happen but just might. They are unlikely.

Between even chance and certain there is likely, where some things probably will happen but may not. They are likely.
