PERCENTAGES

• finding a percentage of an amount with a calculator 
• to find a percentage of an amount, change to a decimal then multiply by the amount

    e.g. 37% of 83 =  0.37 x 83

                            =  30.71 

            3% of 621= 0.03 x 621

                            =  18.63
