Maintaing blood sugar

Blood sugar must be mintained at a level of 90mg/100cm3.

Blood glucose needs to be maintained and controlled as to not upset the the concentration of the blood. If the levels were to increase, cells would lose water by osmosis. Glucose levels are monitored by the pancreas.

If blood sugar rises (detected by pancreas) beta I of L produce insulin which converts glucose to glycogen (glycogensis). Glycogen stored in liver and muscles.
