Thane of Glamis. Led to wicked thoughts by prophecies of 3 witches, especially after the prophecy he will become thane of cawdor became true. he is a brave soldier and powerful man but ot virtuous. he is very ambitious which leads hm to his downfall as a tragic hero. he cant maintain his power because his actions make him hated as a tyrant. macbeth shows at the beggining he knows right and wrong but still chooses to do wrong without being able to justify himself. ultimately, he is unable to bear the psychic consequences of his atrocities.
