Loading and unloading of different materials

For a metal wire, its unloading curve and loading curve are the same straight line. Provided its elastic limit  is not exceeded, the wire, when unloaded, returns to the same length as it had before it was loaded. If the wire is stretched beyond its elastic limit, the unloading line is parallel to the loading line. In this case, when it is completely unstretched, the wire is slightly longer so it has
