Factors effecting rate of reaction
Temperature
- As temperature increases particles have more kinetic energy and collide more frequently increasing rate of reaction due to more sucessful collisions per unit time.
- At higher temperatures there are also more particles with sufficient energy in order to react (activation energy)
Concentration/Pressure
- Increased concentration/ pressure means there are more particles in a given space. This means particles will collide more frequently, Increasing rate of reaction due to more sucessful collisions per unit time.
