How does adding resistors in series and parrallel circuits affect the resistance?

     Adding resistance in series circuits:

    - First you need for identical resistors

    - The you need to build a series circuit with an amp metre in it. You also need to know the p.d. of the battery

    - Measure the current travelling through the circuit, and use this to calculate the resistance of the circuit

    - Add another resistor in series with the amp metre

    - Measure the current and use this to calculate the resistance of the circuit

    - Add another resistor in series with the first.
