There was so little friction between HVII and the popes during his reign given the turnmoil in church state relations under HVIII
Although, there was no open conflict, changed that foreshadowed the Reformationwere taking place and a number of leading reformists were already in influential posts by 1509.
There were heretics in Eng during HVII reign- About 73 heretics were put on trail and while most recanted their heresy, 3 were burned alive.
