tropical rainforests- type of biome
Where are they found?
mostly a few degress either side of the equator between the tropics of cancer and capricorn
they are hot and humid all year, with high rainfall, no distinct seasons
perfectly adapted to their environment, with dinstictive vertical stratification of deciduous trees and climbing plants, which forms a dense canopy competing for light
soils are infeetile they are leached by heavy rainfall

Top canopy- hardy exposed emergent trees with straight branchless trunks that recieve most light
