AIM
To see which factors influence independent behaviour in people
PROCEDURE
- He put an advertisement in a newspaper asking for paid volunteers to take part in a discussion of 'standards of behaviour in the community'.
- Participants were put in groups of 9 and were asked to discuss a situation where a fictitious oil company had fired an employee as they said he had spoke out against them on television. He was taking them to court.
