Investigate a sample of food for the presence of Starch, Glucose, Fat and Protein.

Starch Test

• Use Idoine solution

Procedure

• Take a little sample of starch (starch powder or a food item containing starch)
• If powder put in a test tube with some warm water.
• Add few drops of Idoine Solution (to the test tube ot to the food item containing starch)
• Mixture or food sample will change the color to blue black from yellow brown
