Bacteria are about 1/100th the size of your body cells. They damage your cells and produce toxins which makes you feel ill. Viruses are about 1/100th the size of a bacterium. They invade your cells and replicate their DNA. The cell eventually bursts releasing all the new viruses. The cell damage makes you feel ill.
