Advantages

  • Help to control communicable diseases.
  • Epidemics can be prevented if a large percentage are vaccinated

Disadvantages

  • Vaccines don't always work.
  • Can cause side effects.

Evaluation

It is better to have the disease so your body is familiar with the pathogens so can produces the correct antibodies to fight it. This means that when you get that disease in the future, they recognise it and the white blood cells produce the correct antibody so you will not get that disease itself, only a milder form.
