Photosynthesis
Photosynthesis is when plants absorb carbon dioxide and water and produce oxygen and glucose.
Photosynthesis is an endothermic reaction.
Word equation: Catbon dioxide + water --> oxygen + glucose
Balanced equation: 6CO2 + 6H2O --> 6O2 + C6H12O6
There are 3 factors that affect the rate of photosynthesis:
- Amount of CO2 - Even if there is plenty of light, a plant cannot photosynthesise if there is insufficient carbon dioxide.
- Light intensity - Without enough light, a plant cannot photosynthesise very quickly, even if there is plenty of water and carbon dioxide. Increasing the light intensity will boost the speed of photosynthesis.
- Temperature - If it gets…
