What changes are occuring in the u.k countryside and what are the consequences of these changes?

In the uk there has been a decrease in numbers of people employed in the primary industry over the last 60 years. Primary employment is mainly made up of agriculture, fishing, mining and forestry.

The depopulation of rural areas causing a loss of service provision and spiral of decline.
