Explanations of Attachment - Bowlby

Bowlby believes attachment has biological purpose: to keep infants from danger by parents being nearby

infants have innate desire to form attachment with caregiver in order to survive. Infants have social releasers (smiling, crying), mother are genetically made to respond. forms attachment as they are keeping close proximity with eachother.
