Human Influence:
- Deforestation-Permenant removal of large areas of land or forest (provides wood for building and fuel) and create space for agriculture, buildings and roads
- Agriculture-More land needed for growing population to grow food, resulted in land being cleared to be planted with single crop (monoculture)
- Climate Change-Release of CO2 and pollutants from burning fossil fuels are increasing global temperatures
Deforestation:
Can occur naturally due to forest fires caused by lightning or extreme heat or dryness. Most occurs due to human action, indirectly through acid rain.
