Consumer Rights Act 2015

The Consumer Rights Act 2015 was introduced to make consumer shopping rights clearer.

The introduction of this act replaced three pre-existing acts; these are the 'Sale of Goods Act', the 'Unfair Terms in Consumer Contracts Regulations' and the 'Supply of Goods and Services Act'. 

The new act means that products must:

  • be 'as described'
  • be 'fit for purpose'
  • be 'of satisfactory quality'
