1. Pre-action procol - this is usually a letter between the defendant and the claiment to settle disputes within the 2 parties.

2. alternatives to the pre action procol would be;

Negotiation where the parties decide whats going to be done

Mediation where the 3rd party is invloved

Concilation where the 3rd party suggests decisions for both parties

Atribution where the 3rd party makes the decsion and thats final

Tribunal the one before court normally to settle disputes to do with state, finace, jobs

Ligiator where its gone to court
