Christians and Justice

Bible teaches that God is just and expects his people to treat others in the same way. Treating people unjustly is a sin and those who do it will pay the price on the Day of Judgement. The Old Testament idea of justice was one of retribution, Book of Exodus, it states 'the punishment shall be life for life, eye for eye, tooth for tooth' carrying down to 'bruise for bruise.' But it also said that once the punishment was given, no more could be taken. Vendettas and long running disputes are unjust.
