Christian Views on Civil Patnerships

In 2005, on December 5th, Civil Partnerships became legal in the UK. Civil Partnership services are formal ceremonies for same-sex couples, in which they make promises to eachother, and which gives them the same legal status as married heterosexual couples.

Civil Partnership ceremonies, by law, do not have any religious content to them and the Church will not bless Civil Partnerships.
