Nature-nurture debate.
The geneotype of an individual is their genetic constitution, essentially what chromosomes make them.
Phenotype is the result of interaction between inherited characteristics and environment.
Nature aspect: what we inherit (genes, brain structure, genetic make-up)
Nurture aspect: environment (upbringing, social influence etc.)
Genetics and inheritance.
Each individual inherits 50% of mothers genes and 50% fathers.
Genes can be seperated into 2 groups.
Dominant genes: always lead to certain characteristic in offspring.
Recessive gene: present in both chromosomes in pair to have characteristic.
If one parent gives 2 copies of chromosome 21, the child will have three resulting in down's…
