Ecdysozoa = invertebrates that grow by moulting (ecdysis)
Key features:
- multicellular = metazoan
- have tissues and organs
- possess exoskeleton
- grow by moulting
- 1.5m species known
- radial OR bilateral symmetry
- triploblastic (ectoderm, mesoderm, endoderm)
- acoelom, pseudocoelom or coelom
- protostome or deuterstome (proto = mouth first, deuter = anus first)
