Beck et al. - Interviews with patients undergoing therapy for depression

AIM: to understand cognitive distortions in patients with depression

SAMPLE: 50 participants - 16 men & 34 women aged 18 to 48 (mean age of 44). They were judge to be at least of average intelligence and were of upper or middle class

METHODOLOGY: clinical interviews with each participant - they were face-to-face and the patients had prepared for them
