Continuo- an accompaniment that fills harmonies and texture
Modulation- changes of key (tended to go to the dominant key or relative minor)
Diatonic tonality in minor or major.
Form & Structure
Ritornello or a Fugue- Brisk and purposeful
Ternary form- Slow and song-like with dotted rhythms
Ritornello or a Fugue- Fast and cheerful
Cadenza- a section towards the end of the first movement
