B2 - Conservation Programmes

A conservation programmes is created to help save endangered species. This includes both plants and animals.

This is done by protecting habitats, making artificial environments, and performing captive breeding.

To evaluate a conservation programme (which is necessary for your exam!) you need to look at the following things;

  • Genetic Variation - the species needs to have enough variation of genes so that they will be able to survive new diseases, and to be able to cope with environmental changes.
