System: set of activities that involve an input, process and output

ICT system: any system that uses digital technology, the output goes directly to a human or other ICT system

Input: entering data into a computer or other digital device e.g. Entering pin number on chip and pin device

Process: manipulating the input data into information so understandable to the user e.g. Checking if you have enough money to make the transaction

Output: presenting the information to the user. Could be printed or displayed on screen e.g. Credit card accepted and amount…
