Animal and plant cells
Both cells have:
- Nucleus - Contains the genetic material (DNA), this carries the coded instructions for controlling characteristics and activities of the cell
- Cytoplasm - contains water and dissolved substances such as salt and sugar.Chemical reactions go on in organelles e.g. proteins are made in ribosomes and energy is released by respiration in the mitochondria.
