Andreas Vesalius

Vesalius was a famous anatomist. He published a book called "Six Anatomical Tables". The book showed different parts of the human body. He published another book called "De Humani Corporis Fabrica" (On the Fabric of Human Body). 

He carried out a large number of dissections. Galen used pig for dissection and when Vesalius used human dissection, he realised Galen was wrong about his theory.
