Amines, Amino Acids and Polymers

?

Amines are organic compounds derived from ammonia (NH3), where one or more of the hydrogens has been replaced by a carbon chain or ring.

Aliphatic amines: the N is attached to at least one straight or branched carbon chain (an alkyl group)
Aromatic amines: the N is attached to an aromatic ring (an aryl group).

Like alcohols, they are classified as primary, secondary, or tertiary.
