Act Utilitarianism - a version of utilitarianism according to which the rightness and wrongness of individual acts are calculated by the amount of happiness resulting from these acts.
- Utilitarianism is described as being either act or rule
- Whenever prossible, the principle of utility must be directly applied for each individual situation
- THE GREATEST GOOD FOR THE GREATEST NUMBER OF PEOPLE
- It is the value of the consequences of the particular act that counts
- Has the benefit of flexibility - takes individual situations into account
