In the 15th century the Spanish brought horses to America
The Sioux used the horses to go hunting with, it was their method of transport. The could hunt much more efficiently with horses
The horses make it much easier for the Sioux to hunt, they also get into the 'horse-trading' market. On hrseback it was easier to keep up with the buffalo, which meant more food. Horses transformed the way the Sioux functioned.
