Topic 1 : Relationships

Love- to have a deep affection for someone and express it throught words and deeds. A Catholic couple may express their love for one another by deciding to get married.

Responsibilties- duties that should be kept and carried out. Catholics have a responsibility to go to mass every Sunday.

Reconciliation- to say sorry for something that you have done wrong or to forgive someone when they have done you wrong. Many  churches have reconciliation services.

Commitment- making or keepng a promise. When a Catholic couple get married they say their wedding vows, this shows their commitment to one another.

Chastity- the decision not have sex before marriage. Catholics believe that sex is a gift from god and should only take place within a marriage.

Conflict- working against each other rather than in unity. Physical, verbal and emotional conflicts in marriages can often lead to divorces.

Topic 2 : Is it Fair?

Prejudice- judging someone without any evidence. Christians abide by the Golden Rule which is to treat others the way you would like to be treated.

Injustice- when someone is withdrawn form their human rights for example imprisonment without a trail.Christians believe that God said that all humans should care for one another.

Equality- to be treated the same as everyone else. Christians believe that everyone is made in the image and likeness of God so therefore we are all equal.

Authority- to have power over someone else. In chuch the priest has power over everyone else as he leads the service.

Identity- the personality and character of an individual. Everyone has their own fingerprint that makes them unique. Muslims believe that Allah made everyone the same but different.

Discrimination- is to treat someone differently because of their race, gender, disability etc. Christians believe that we are all part of a divine creation.

Topic 3 : Looking for Meaning

Community- a group of people with the same intrests. Many Christians feel part of a community when they are at church.

Afterlife- the hope that there is life after death. Many Christians believe that your afterlife depends on how good you were on earth only then would you be rewarded in Heaven. 

Revelation- to see something that was unknown or hidden before. Many Christians believe that God reveals Himself through the Bible and by miracles.

God- is the supreme being and the creator of the world. Christians believe that God is omnibenvolent,omniscient,omnipotent and omnipresent and that He is the Father.

Awe- being overwhelmed by God's presence. Chriatians can feel awe and God's presence when they are praying or reading the Bible.

Symbolsim- something that can point to or explain something about you. Christians may wear a cross to symbolize their religion.

Topic 4 : Our World

Soul- the part of the body that lives on even after death. Christians believe that if we are good on earth then we will reach Heaven.

Humanity- to care for all the human beings around the world. Christians believe that God tells them to show love, care and kindess to all humans.

Environment- the natural world surrounding us. Christians believe that God gave us humans a duty to look after his divine creation.

Dominion- to have power over someone else or something. Christians believe that God had dominion across the whole world.

Stewardship- is looking after and caring for the environment. Christians believe that humans have a God-given resposability to be stewards of the earth.

Creation- to make something for a purpose. Christians believe that God made the world in six days and He made it because it had a purpose for Him.
