SALVATION

• Meaning- "preservation or deliverance from harm"
• In Christianity it can mean- being saved by God
• To achieve salvation is to follow God's laws - The Word of God

BIBLE

• Made up of 66 books
  
• Writen by a number of authors
• Authors wrote in different styles but were all inspired by their experience with god

Original sin

• Original Sin- The tendancy to disobey God
• Originally started when Adam and Eve disobeyed God- it was then passed down the generations

Not all christions agree with this concept

• Humans sinfulness separates humans from God
• Christians achieve salvation by having faith in Jesus and confessing and repenting(being sorry for) their sins

Grace and the spirit

• Grace- "the love and mercy given to us by God"
• Christians believe that God sends the holy spirit to bring grace and help them to live a good l
• The gift of gracr means that Christians can pray for help from God and turn away from sin
• This gift from God is recorded in the Bible when the Holy Spirit appears to the disciples after Jesus' ascension to heaven...

The role of the holy spirit in worship

• The role of the holy spirit is particulary important in Evangelical worship
• Evangelical Christians encourage worshippers to be 'moved by the spirit'
• They believe that the Holy Spirit in present and influences what they do.
