An electric current is a flow of electric charge. The cost of electricity depends upon the amount of electrical power used, the amount of time it is used for, and the charge made for each unit of electricity. The more electrical energy used, the greater the cost. Electrical supplies can be direct current (DC) or alternating current (AC).Electric Circuits

In order to flow, an electric current needs:

  • A complete circuit
  • Something to push the current around the circuit
