The chronology of events in a narrative, discourse refers to the manipulation of that story in the presentation of the narrative.

Beginning in the middle of things.

Literally, the love of looking. The term refers to the predominantly male gaze of Holloywood cinema, which enjoys objectfying women into mere objects to be looked at (rather than subjects with their own voice and subjectivity).
