A mixture is when 2 or more substances are mixed together but not chemically combined.

There are 3 types of mixtures: suspension mixture, colloidal mixture and a solution.A suspension mixture is when a substance doesn't dissolve in a solvent. This makes the substance insoluble. A colloidal mixture is when the particles of a substance is dispersed which make it opaque. A solution is where a solute is dissolved into a solvent.

After you make a mixture, the weight of it will increase as you are mixing 2 or more substances together. For example, if the solute you are putting in is 20g and the solvent is 50g it will be 70g after you mix it because it's still there but invisible to the naked eye.
