  • Angles in a triangle add up to 180. 
  • Angles on a streight line also add to 180.

a = 40° (corresponding angle to angle at point D)
 c = 40° (AB = CB, therefore angle a = angle c)
 b = 100° (angles in a triangle add up to 180°)
 e = 140° (e and c are co-interior angles)
