Language Paper 1

A target audience is a group of people that a writer will target when writing something. for example, a writer may be making a book about cars, so the target audience for that book will be people who like cars. Target audience has two main factors, age range and interests 

Throughout the time the author has been writing something they have had a certain purpose, these purposes are either: to argue or persuade, to advise, to inform or to entertain. 

To Argue or Persuade - the writer will give their opinion and try to get us to agree with them

To Advise - They help the reader do something and give instructions on what to do 

To Inform - They tell the reader about what has happened will help them understand the subject 

To Entertain - they make the reader want to feel something and usually make it enjoyable to read
