Magistrates Court  - Hears minor Criminal cases eg: Motoring Offences and some Civil Cases

Crown Court - Deals with more serious criminal offences and appeals against the Magistrates Court

High Court- Deals with Civil Cases and hears appeals regarding Criminal Cases. The High Court is divided into three divisions: 

The Family Division-:  such as divorcechildrenprobate and medical treatment.

Chancery Division-: deals with money and problems with wills

Queens Division-: deals with large compensation and complex claims.
