• 1485 Charles VIII supports Henry 1000 mercinaries - Henry Lands in Wales + 4000 soldiers = meets richard at bosworth
• 22nd August 1485 - Battle of Bosworth - Henry Kills Richard - Claims throne
• 30th october corrinated
• Marries Elizabeth of York - two days after papal dispensation

Minor Risings

• 1486 - Henry Travels north on progress to create support
• 1486 - Lovel + Staffords join up to fight Henry - Lovel heads to meet Henry +Staffords rise rebellion in worcester
• Henry threatens exuction but pardon if it ends = Rebellion disperses
• Staffords captured = Humphrey excuted + Thomas pardoned - remained loyal

Wales

• Vaughn + Herbert cosnpired to kill Henry + Rebel
• Rebellion put down rebellion - excuted ring leaders - pardoned rank and file

• Rebellions are Popular - about taxes - dont want to usurp Henry

Yorkshire - 1489

• Herny panned to invade Brittany - granted subsidy by parliament in 1489
• Yorkshire rebels because bad harvest + expected not to be taxed (northern Territory)
• Percy was murdered + rises up in rebellion 
• Surrey puts down rebellion oustide York  = surrey becomes regent of York
• Herny ends tax = collects only 27,000

Cornwall - 1497

• parliament voted heacy taxes to stop warbeck 
• Cornwall rised 15,000 in rebellion + led by Lord Audley = reached London
• Lord Daubeney defeats rebels 
• Rebellion shows Henry cant invade foreign country.

• 1486 - Symmonds (Priest) recgonises boy looks (simnel) like Edward V - however changes mind and declares him warwick - son of clarenece

• 1498 - rebels again - captured tried and excuted in 1499

• 1499 Sufolk - brother of Lincon - travels to Calais - returns to Herny pardoned
• flees again in 1501 to Maximillian
• 1504 suffloks realtions improsend = 54 acts of attainder
• 1506 - Henry allies with Phillip - suffolk returned to Henry + improsned = end of threat
• 1513 - excuted by Henry VIII
