Power stations

?

Fuel based power station

Power stations burn coal, oil or gas to produce heat.

The heat turns water into steam. The steam then travels to a turbine.

The steam makes the turbine spin which drives a generator.

Electricity is produced. The condenser turns steam back into water.

The water goes back to the boiler. Electricity travels along wires to the National Grid.
