Euthanasia 2

Euthanasia means killing someone painlessly to relieve suffering , especially from an incurable illness- often called mercy killing.

Types of euthanasia

• Voluntary euthansia is when an ill person actvily requests help to die, or refuses to take treatment that could help them.

• Non-voluntary euthanasia is when the person is unable to make such a request so the decision is made by someone else e.g doctor or family members.

• Passive euthanasia is allowing a terminally ill person to die by withdrawing medical treatment.

• Active euthanasia is the ending of life by deliberate action such as fatal injection.
